About Me

Originally from Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex, I am a cosmologist and since October 2019 I have been working in the Cosmology and Relativity group at the Queen Mary University of London‘s Astronomy Unit. I did my PhD at the Institute of Cosmology & Gravitation which I started in October 2016 working with David Bacon and Alkistis Pourtsidou. I am mainly interested in using radio and optical surveys of large-scale cosmic structure to understand more about how our Universe works. Please see my Research page or download my Thesis for more information on this. My research is funded by the  Science and Technology Facilities Council.


I am a keen footballer, but a slight imbalance exists between enthusiasm and skill. Below is a picture of me representing my department’s staff team as captain in a charity match against the undergraduate students. An article about the game can be found here.
